The children and staff at Lyndale School enjoyed a day packed with cooking fun.
The day started by using the senses of touch and smell, with fresh herbs and pungent spices, before setting about the task of preparing a barbecue.
The children helped produce fresh flavoured breads (some of the recipes provided by Pensby High School for Girls), healthy baked potatoes, fresh butcher's beef burgers and even helped make sausage. After the lunch feast some of the children made fresh pizza and strawberry milk shakes.
This was an action packed day that gave these wonderful children an exciting and stimulating day of super fun using great food. And from the day for me? Well I received a fantastic warm welcome, had loads of fun working with these great children, and was given an opportunity to develop my services. A very big thank you to all at the School!
