The Fun Food Chef helped support the girls' school Healthy Lifestyles Dimension Days. The 9 one hour interactive cooking demonstrations, over the two days, was just one part of an exciting couple of days put together by the school.
In the weeks prior to the lessons the pupils submitted their entries to a bread recipe competition and the five best were made during the session.
The breads would be served along side bolognese that they would prepare based around the recipe from the "Real Meals" cook book.
The hour long session also covered an analysis of meat from the butcher versus the supermarket, why the meal they prepared was healthier, and most importantly that
Cooking with friends could be healthy and fun!!!!
The Fun Food Chef & Lisa assisted the girls' through the demanding schedule to produce a healthy meal, suitable for any social occasion, in under an hour.
As usual the proof of the pudding is in the tasting or is that in the bolognese? Whatever, the results amazed all, especially the pupils themselves who found themselves eating things they thought they previously hadn't liked (celery, mushrooms, onions, carrots, fresh basil etc.).
More photos of the Days can be seen below.
With all those great smells drifting down the corridor where else would the support team have met up for their break but in "The Fun Food Chef" room!
