25th Burns Night. The Scottish poet Robert Burns was born on this day in 1759. his birthday is now celebrated by Scots all around the world with traditional Scottish food including haggis.

27th January Holocaust Memorial Day. Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) is the international day of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust and of other genocides. On it, we commemorate victims, honour survivors and commit to tackling prejudice, discrimination and racism in the present day.
23rd to 29th Farmhouse Breakfast Week. this is to raise awareness of breakfast as a meal and also the ingredients we use. Farmhouse Breakfast Week is an annual campaign that emphasises the importance of eating a healthy breakfast every day. 'Think Breakfast' is the theme of this year's celebration to encourage everyone to wake up to breakfast as part of a healthy balanced diet and active lifestyle. Nutritionists agree that a healthy breakfast is essential for starting the day.
28th January SOS Day with our country surrounded by water remember and support the fantastic work of the RNLI on this day.

4th UNICEF Day for Change. Your school can be part UNICEF’s Day for Change in 2009. This is a fun and educational fundraising event, where pupils get the chance to do something different in exchange for making a small donation to UNICEF.
Schools do all sorts of things: fancy dress; “wear a silly hat” day; dressing up in colours of different flags, or simply a non-uniform day.
3rd Chinese New Year 2011. The year of the Rabbit.
14th St Valentine's Day.

4th National Doodle Day This day is to raise awareness and funds for those affected by epilepsy and neurofibromatosis. It is also about having fun whilst raising funds to help people whose lives are affected. You can enter their national competition and doodle alongside hundreds of celebrities and help us build on the £160,000 raised so far! Click on the link to find out more.
