Fun Food Chef Greek Meat Balls

Ingredients

1 ½ lb (675g) Butchers Minced Beef (My butcher uses Welsh Black Beef)

2 to 3 Mushrooms

½ A large Onion

1 to 2 Cloves of garlic

60 to 70 g Bread crumbs (Freshly made not the orange glow ones!)

½ to 1 teaspoons of dried Oregano (Seasoned Pioneers link on the web site for spices)

½ teaspoon on cinnamon

½ teaspoon cumin

Fresh Ground Sea Salt & Ground Black Pepper to taste

600ml of fresh tomato sauce

Method

  • Make your bread crumbs using a food processor or even a blender.
  • Finally chop the onions mushrooms & Garlic (Use a food processor or blender, if available, as it will be chopped smaller more children are likely to enjoy them).
  • Beat in the egg to the chopped vegetables
  • Add the Vegetables and breadcrumbs in to the Beef along with the remainder of the ingredients.
  • Now get messy making the balls (a little smaller than a golf ball but it is up to you).
  • Pour your tomato sauce over them and cook at 200’C for about 20 minutes (May take longer if you put too much sauce over them, have made them larger or you pack them too tight).
  • If you have a temperature probe then cook them to 75’C
